- Complete sacrificial anode kit to replace all factory installed anodes found on the transom and drive unit
- Genuine Mercury part
- Includes mounting hardware
- Aluminum anodes - for use in fresh, salt or brackish water
- Mercury part number: 888761Q03
- Replaces Mercury part numbers: 888761A1 and 888761Q01
- Aluminum anodes are what Mercury installs from the factory, but magnesium anodes are more effective in fresh water
- Never paint anodes
- Anodes should be checked and cleaned frequently - a dirty anode is not protecting your outdrive
- Anodes should be replaced once they have dissolved 25% to 50%
- Installation of a Mercathode system can prolong the life of your anodes
- Boats connected to shore power should also have a galvanic isolator installed
